Aiken County, South Carolina – An extensive search remains underway for 4-year-old Javeayah Kemauni Harris, who was reported missing Tuesday evening from her family’s home in Aiken County, South Carolina.

Local, state, and federal agencies continue working around the clock as they search for the young girl.

According to the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office, Javeayah was last seen around 8:15 p.m. near the intersection of Hillsboro Street and Ridgecrest Road.

She was wearing pink Minnie Mouse pajamas, pink beads in her braided hair, and may also have been wearing Crocs.

Investigators describe her as a friendly, talkative child and believe she could fit into small spaces, prompting an extensive search of nearby properties.

The search operation has expanded significantly with ᴀssistance from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), multiple sheriff’s offices, police departments, firefighters, emergency responders, aviation units, drones, helicopters, K-9 teams, and specialized search crews.

Authorities say more than 3,000 acres have already been searched as teams continue following every possible lead.

Investigators are also conducting neighborhood canvᴀsses, reviewing surveillance video, and interviewing potential witnesses.

Authorities have asked residents to carefully check sheds, garages, crawl spaces, vehicles, wooded areas, and any location where a young child could be hiding or become trapped. Officials emphasized that every tip is being taken seriously.

Javeayah’s father, Johmarea Harris, spoke publicly during the search, describing the uncertainty as extremely difficult for the family while thanking everyone ᴀssisting in the effort.

Authorities confirmed that the child’s parents are cooperating fully with investigators as the search continues.
