Heather Locklear and Lorenzo Lamas credit higher power for their love

Heather Locklear and Lorenzo Lamas have divine intervention to thank for bringing them back together, four decades after they first met posing for Playgirl magazine.

The couple starred on the July cover of the racy publication back in 1983 but went on to find love with other partners in the years since.  

Lamas now credits ‘the universe’ for reuniting them. 

Locklear, 64, and Lamas, 68, were spotted jetting into LAX together on Sunday, braving the airport hustle and bustle hand-in-hand – where the actor reminiscenced  on their love story. 

‘The universe happened!’ Lamas told a videographer when asked about what caused them to reunite.

When asked who made the first move, Lamas said: ‘I guess the promoter that booked us on the same event.’

Asked if they got together while doing conventions, Lamas said: ‘It was in Buffalo New York last Thanksgiving.’

The couple was first linked last November when they were spotted at a dinner party in New York City, before reuniting at Barry’s Steakhouse in Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve.

They made their first appearance as a couple at the Chiller Theatre Expo in April, where they greeted fans as they sat side by side.

Renegade actor Lamas has been married six times in the past. 

He has children AJ, 42, and Shayne, 40, with second wife Michele Smith, Paton, 37, with ex Daphne Ashbrook, and Alexandra, 28, Victoria, 27, and Isabella, 25, with fourth wife Shauna Sand.

In June 2025, he filed for divorce from Kenna Scott after less than two years of marriage. 

Locklear was previously married to Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee before their divorce in 1993, while she tied the knot with Bon Jovi’s Richie Sambora shortly after.

Last year, she ended her long-term relationship with Chris Heisser, who she first dated in high school.

The couple are now head over heels for each other. 

‘My new guy is very… everything,’ the Melrose Place actress said during an appearance on the Hollywood and Divine podcast. 

‘I’m just like, when I tell this person I love him, I’m really saying, “I love you, God.” Because that’s what happened. It’s from God,’ she shared with the podcast hosts. ‘I’m in the best time of my life,’ she added.

The feeling is clearly mutual.  

Asked if he ever imagined things coming full circle like this, Lamas told Fox News Digital: ‘The short answer is no.

‘I mean, I’ve been through a lot of trial and error, and she is the most amazing woman that I think I’ve ever met.’
