Julianne Hough’s ex Brooks Laich marries in romantic Idaho wedding

Julianne Hough’s ex-husband Brooks Laich tied the knot with Katrin Davidsdottir during a romantic Idaho wedding over the past weekend.

The 38-year-old actress and dancer was previously married to the former NHL player from 2017 until their divorce in 2022. 

Laich and Davidsdottir, who became engaged back in 2024, said ‘I do’ at their lakeside residence in Idaho in front of a little over 100 guests, per People. 

While talking to the outlet, the groom gushed about marrying the Icelandic former CrossFit athlete and called it ‘a dream come true for both of us.’ 

The newlyweds married on August 15 during an intimate wedding weekend with close friends and family members. 

Their 10-month-old daughter Emberly was also in attendance and took part in the outdoor ceremony as she was carried down the aisle by her father.

The couple exchanged vows with the scenic views of Lake Coeur d’Alene stretched out behind them. 

Guests watched the romantic moment while seated on a patch of lush green grᴀss which led up to the altar.

Their husky named Koda also had a special moment during the ceremony while walking down the aisle in a tux. 

Afterwards, guests enjoyed cocktail hour before dinner on the water. Laich and Davidsdottir opted to have huckleberry crisp for dessert rather than a traditional wedding cake. 

A dance floor and stage was also set up on their property in front of the garage to end the night. 

The following morning, the newlyweds and guests were treated to a 50s-themed beach brunch to close out the wedding weekend. 

Davidsdottir wore a sleeveless, white Wona Concept gown that had a full skirt and ʙuттons on the back. 

A sheer white veil was placed on the back of her head while her blonde locks were styled into a chic updo.

Laich wore a classic black tuxedo which was paired with a white dress shirt and black bowtie. 

Daily Mail has reached out to a rep for Hough for comment, but has yet to hear back. 

The couple announced their engagement back in December 2024 after going Instagram official with their romance three years earlier. 

At the time, Hough reacted to the engagement news by commenting on their joint Instagram post. 

‘Congratulations. I’m so happy for you both as you step into this beautiful new chapter together. Wishing you both a lifetime of love, laughter, and endless adventures!’ the dancer penned. 

Her ex-husband responded by writing ‘thank you for the kind words, much love Jules!’ 

Hough and Laich first met back in 2013 before the pair were confirmed to be dating the following year. 

In 2015, the former couple announced their engagement and tied the knot in July 2017 in Lake Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

They continued, ‘We kindly request your compᴀssion and respect for our privacy moving forward.’ 

Later that same year, the professional dancer filed for divorce. In 2022, the pair reached a divorce agreement.

Hough also reflected on her divorce, explaining she went from ‘having the extreme of like, ‘Will this ever end?’ to ‘Oh my gosh, like, I get to literally, design and create the life of my dreams.

‘And know that every decision I’m going to make is going to be from here and that it still doesn’t mean it’s going to be this perfect life.’
