HOLLY, Michigan — The Michigan community continues to rally around the loved ones of the Powell family following the devastating Interstate 75 crash that claimed the lives of four family members.
A fundraising campaign created to ᴀssist with funeral and burial expenses has raised more than $44,000, reflecting an overwhelming outpouring of support from across the state.
The victims were identified as Tieree Powell, 24, Zakiera Powell, 24, and their two young children, Malani Powell, 4, and Carter Powell, 2.

According to the Michigan State Police, the family’s vehicle was stopped on the shoulder of southbound Interstate 75 near Grange Hall Road in Holly, Oakland County, when it was struck by another vehicle.
All four family members were pronounced deceased at the scene.

The online fundraiser describes Tieree Powell as a devoted father and Zakiera Powell as a loving mother who dedicated her life to caring for her children.
Family members said the couple and their children were returning home after spending time together on a family swimming outing when the tragedy occurred.
Donations will help cover funeral services, burial expenses, and other unexpected costs facing their relatives.
