In an Instagram post shared on Sunday, June 21, the content creator and father of nine wished fellow dads a happy Father’s Day, writing, “If you don’t take care of yo kids today ain’t yo day to celebrate fn.” In the post, Jamal included pH๏τos of himself with his children, including his youngest, Sadé Rose.

Just days later, on June 24, Jamal, 33, revealed that Sadé Rose had died after falling into their family pool.
“You were the best daughter a father could ever ask for,” he wrote alongside images of his daughter. “Losing a child is a pain I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. I hate to make this post but yall won’t be seeing me for a while. I have to take a break.”
In a GoFundMe page launched by Jamal’s team, the influencer shared more details about the circumstances of her death. “She thought she was a big girl and could swim all by herself. She walked out of the house and got into the pool where she drowned,” he added.
He also shared that the family would be using the money from the fundraiser to help them move out of their house. “We have to move away because we can’t live in that house anymore, and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to work anytime soon. Anything helps,” he said.

Rose died on June 21, the Hall County Coroner’s Office confirmed to PEOPLE. A spokesperson for the coroner’s office told PEOPLE that the Hall County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death as a drowning. The sheriff’s office didn’t immediately return PEOPLE’s request for comment.
Jamal and his wife, Jessica, announced Rose’s birth in April 2024 by sharing a pH๏τo of their “beautiful princess” on Instagram, and she was often featured in his social media posts.
