Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, widely known as “El Mencho,” the alleged leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), was buried Monday in the state of Jalisco, Mexico, according to a federal official.
The official, who requested anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly, confirmed that Oseguera Cervantes was laid to rest in a cemetery in Zapopan, a suburb of Guadalajara — Mexico’s second-largest city.

Witnesses described a funeral procession that included dozens of attendees, many carrying black umbrellas despite sunny weather.
